Technician required, based in the Midlands area. Requiring experience in metallography, hardness testing, macro etching, cleanliness verifications, weld assessments, corrosion testing and SEM/EDS analysis as well as great problem solving skills.

Salary: £25,000- £30,000 (dependent on experience)
Term: Permanent

SRG are currently working with one of the UK's leading materials testing laboratories offering a variety of different testing services to many different industries. The business is now looking for a Technician to join their team. Specialising in failure investigations, assessments, and analysis of materials. Starting ASAP

Role Description

Carry out testing, analysis of test data, and report findings
Carry out metallography, hardness testing, macro etching, cleanliness verifications, weld assessments, corrosion testing and SEM/EDS analysis
Run failure analysis investigations
Liaise with customers
Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues.
Accurately costing jobs for invoicing purposes
Requirements

Degree in a related field
Good organisation and communication skills
Previous experience in a material based company will be advantageous
Experience in failure would also be beneficial
