Accountant – £33,000-£35,000

STEM Recruitment solutions are looking for an experienced finance professional with strong leadership skills! We're looking for a proactive Office Manager/Accountant to take charge of our client’s day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly while supporting the team’s success.

Responsibilities:

Managing daily bookkeeping and financial records

Preparing monthly management accounts

Processing purchase and sales invoices in Xero

Overseeing debt management and payment runs

Processing weekly payroll (Xero)

Handling VAT returns and liaising with external accountants

Reporting job costing to Directors and Senior Management

Managing office staff, training, and general administration

Overseeing vehicle management, utilities, and insurance

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar finance role

Office management experience is not essential!

Strong communication and organisational skills

Experience with Xero (desired but not essential)

A proactive and detail-oriented mindset
