My client in Thames Ditton is currently in need of a Building Surveyor to join them in their current expansion.

Position: Building Surveyor
Location:
* Thames Ditton Office (minimum four days per week)
* One day remote work option available

Role Summary:
The Building Surveyor will report directly to a Senior Surveyor and will receive comprehensive training across a variety of core areas. This role is designed to develop a well-rounded, experienced building surveyor with a pathway toward RICS chartered status.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct building surveys and generate detailed reports on condition, defect repairs, and maintenance strategies
2. Prepare and issue party wall notices and manage party wall Awards
3. Develop costed maintenance plans for properties
4. Lead project management and contract administration for repair and refurbishment projects
5. Support senior surveyors with complex construction and surveying tasks
6. Perform property inspections, assess structural defects, and recommend remediation
Candidate Requirements:
1. Relevant degree in Construction or Building Surveying (BSc, MSc, or equivalent)
2. 1-2 years of experience in UK residential construction (preferred)
3. Strong ambition to attain RICS chartered membership
4. Strong problem-solving skills with a client-oriented mindset
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
6. Valid driving license (preferred)
