Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Wylam (Northumberland)

Salary: £50,000- £65,000

We are partnered with a growing Engineering company who are looking for a strategic thinking Management Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and financial expertise, coupled with a proactive approach to process improvement and business insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, analyse, and present management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
Provide financial insights to support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial risks and opportunities during acquisitions or buyouts.
Prepare and oversee accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
Partner with operational teams to improve cost efficiency and project-based accounting.
Monitor financial performance and deliver variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain robust financial models to guide strategic decision-making.
Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and optimise financial processes.

Requirements:

Professional Qualification: CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified.
Experience: Proven track record in Mergers, Acquisitions, and Buyouts (beneficial if the experience is within an engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication environment).
Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
Excellent understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
