Architectural Technologist – Central London - £45-50k - Hybrid working options available
Our client has an opportunity for an Architectural Technologist with job running skills to join their team with experience gained working in the Commercial, Residential and Industrial fit out sectors.
You will be able to demonstrate ambition and enthusiasm for success, along with a readiness to serve as an ambassador for the business.
The role requires a strong technical aptitude and the ability to adapt to challenging situations.
You’ll be involved in a variety of projects across the Commercial, Residential and Industrial and Fit-out sectors, ideally with some retrofit experience.
Responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes for both the business and clients
• Engaging in project reviews and coordination workshops
• Preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documents using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
• Conducting site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for project development
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws throughout the design process
• Coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals involved in project execution
• Providing technical support and guidance to junior staff members as needed
• Staying up to date on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continually enhance design processes and outcomes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or related field
• Minimum of 3/5 years’ experience working as an Architect, Architectural Technologist in a professional setting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software
Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and building systems. Experience of shell construction and internal fit out detailing fire strategy plans, wall/partition setting out plans, and coordinated reflected ceiling plan setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and precision
• Proven track record of managing and successfully delivering projects to completion
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices
• Professional certification or licensure
