School Science Technician Wanted - Bury ?

We are seeking a School Science Technician to join a welcoming and dedicated team in Bury. This role is ideal for someone with a strong scientific background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting students' learning through exciting experiments.

? Location: Bury
? Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
? Pay: Up to £100 per day (dependent on experience)
? Start Date: Immediate - September start
? Contract: Temporary with the potential to become permanent

Your Role

? Organising and preparing materials for science experiments
? Setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment
? Ensuring that all health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations, are followed
? Managing stock levels and ordering resources when required
? Assisting teachers and students during practical lessons
? Keeping the science labs clean, safe, and well-organised

What We're Looking For

✅ Must have a university qualification in science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field)
✅ Knowledge of COSHH regulations and health & safety procedures
✅ Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential
✅ Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
✅ A proactive, safety-conscious, and team-focused approach
