The Company

Since their humble beginning in the 80’s this family-run business has grown into one of the UK’s largest independent food manufacturers in their sector. They supply their products to multiple sectors including travel, food service and food manufacturers across the UK and beyond.

The Role

As the new stand-alone HR Manager, you’ll be responsible for a variety of duties, including.

* Manage the HR for all staff on-site (circa 85 plus seasonal agency). Including recruitment, & onboarding.

* Champion Health & Safety: Uphold safety standards and guide the team with H&S protocols and risk assessments.

* Lead Employee Relations activities including 1-2-1’s, disciplinaries, grievances, & promotions. Be the trusted advisor for all managers.

* Oversee the payroll process (with the finance dept) ensuring accuracy and correct employee records.

* Work collaboratively with the Senior leadership team

Your Skills & Experience

To be considered for this opportunity you will need.

* Minimum of CIPD Level 5

* HR experience in food manufacturing, manufacturing or distribution

* HR generalist experience

* In-depth knowledge of health & safety and employment law

* A driven, friendly & collaborative attitude
