KS1 Teaching Assistant Needed

TeacherActive are currently working alongside a fantastic, 1-form entry Primary School, rated "Good" in their latest Ofsted Inspection. Located in Castle Bromwich, they are now looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their Team, on a full-time basis, starting from September 2024. 

The Role
This is a part-time position, requiring you to work every Thursday and Friday from 8.30-3.30. This role is starting ASAP, ongoing through to the end of the academic year (July 2025), and with the possibility of leading to a longer-term/permanent contract for the right TA.

The role includes working across various KS1 Year Groups, leading Maths and English Interventions. You will be working with small groups of children within the main classroom, and supporting on a 1:1 basis as and when needed.  

Job Specification

The successful Teaching Assistant will need:

A minimum of 6 months experience working in a Primary setting
Strong knowledge of Maths and English curriculum across KS1
Experience working with KS1
Strong initiative
A kind and caring nature
A genuine passion for making a difference in a child's life
