Position: Tutor 

Location: Newcastlle 

Pay: 20-35 per hour (based on experience) 

Start: As soon as possible

We are seeking applications from English and Maths specialists to support key stage 4 students on a 1-1 or small group . These tutor positions are immediate starts and are based at a large and vibrant Secondary school just outside Newcastle City Centre

If you are the person we are looking for, you will have a proven track record of effective teaching or tutoring in English or Maths , have excellent behaviour management skills, an awareness of policies and other guidance on safeguarding and wellbeing, and the interpersonal skills to challenge, inspire and motivate students to enable them to achieve their potential regardless of the barriers they face.

We have full and part time tutor positions available

To apply you must have………

Experience delivering in Key stage 4
A qualification in teaching OR relevant experience tutoring or supporting in theses subjects
A DBS on the update service OR the willingness to go through an application immediately
A fully checkable work history
The tutor role would be suitable for a graduate in either maths or English who has classroom experience too
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
