Mouldshop Production Manager

Salary is dependent on experience

Full time – Permanent

Monday – 8.00am – 6.00pm

Tuesday – Thursday – 7.00am – 6.00pm

Friday – 7.00am – 1.00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Mouldshop Production Manager to join our client in their Reading site.

As a Mouldshop Production Manager your responsibilities will include:

* Liaising with other members of management to correct any production issues.

* Proficient with lean techniques (5S)

* Managing day to day activities of the Production team

* Increasing efficiency of the Production team through regular coaching.

* Ensuring Health and Safety obligations are met, working closely with the group Health & Safety Manager.

* Working closely with other departments to ensure continuity of supply to production and goods out.

* Supporting quality management, waste reduction and environmental sustainability targets.

* Working closely with the Operations Manager to deliver Mouldshop improvement plan.

To be successful you will ideally have the following experience and skillset:

* Previous experience working as a Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager within a manufacturing environment.

* Knowledge of various assembly and manufacturing environments.

* Good knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing methods (5S).

* A confident communicator with other members of staff and senior management.

* Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

* Excellent organisational and planning skills.

* Ability to work independently as well as a team.

* Experience with automated based manufacturing would be desirable.
