Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Supervisor for the Machining (Large Castings) Department.

Job Description

·Working closely with the dept manager to ensure the safe, smooth & efficient running of a busy section within the machining department.

·Setting weekly plans & targets to ensure the team meet the required daily output.

·Schedule work into your area of responsibility.

·Capacity plan your area of responsibility accurately & effectively.

·Report daily on any issues that inhibit the delivery of parts to internal customers.

·Monitoring & controlling of budgets.

·Responsibility for the control of Risk Assessments, staff training plans & SDQCP activities.

·Ensuring the communication between our department & sections results in an effective & on time supply to the assembly areas.

·Ensuring Yamazaki Mazak Health, Safety & Environmental rules & procedures are implemented, & information in the departments is always up to date & available for staff.

·Promote a positive culture amongst staff by engaging them in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives.

Person Specification.

Essential Criteria:

·Proven Leader, with deliverables in all key areas of SQDCP.

·Be proficient in ERP systems & Microsoft applications.

·Have a can-do attitude.

·Prior experience working within a supervisory or team leader role.

Desirable Criteria:

·Understand Mazak systems & Processes.

·AX Knowledge.

·Mazak product knowledge.

·Leadership qualification or experience.

Working hours are Double Days: AM Shift 05:30am - 1:30pm Monday to Friday then rotations onto the PM Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday to Thursday and a 8:00pm finish on a Friday.
Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours then Time 1/2 thereafter each day.

Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time.
