Registered Home Manager - Residential Children's Home
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Bonus Scheme

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Registered Home Manager in a newly established residential children's home in Spalding. Our client, a respected provider of residential care for children with a range of need from learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), to challenging behaviours, is looking for a committed leader to develop a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications and Certification:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (to be completed within 3 years of employment) OR a Registered Manager's Award/Level 5 in Health and Social Care.

Experience in Care Management:
Minimum 2 years in a home management role within children's residential care, demonstrating effective leadership and care oversight.

Regulatory Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted inspection frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of care.

Safeguarding Expertise:
Practical knowledge of safeguarding legislation, children's rights, and responsibilities within a professional care network.

Responsibilities
Home Leadership:
Oversee the setup and day-to-day management of a new residential children's home, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Resident Support:
Provide a nurturing environment that meets the needs of young people with learning disabilities, ASD, and challenging behaviours, while fostering a sense of belonging and growth.

Staff Development:
Lead and mentor the team, encouraging professional growth and fostering a collaborative, positive work environment.

Care Planning and Local Authority Support:
Collaborate with local authorities on care planning, ensuring the home effectively supports each resident's care plan and promotes their rights and entitlements.

Safeguarding and Compliance:
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and ensure compliance with legislation such as the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted inspection frameworks.

Professional Collaboration:
Work closely with professionals and agencies involved in supporting young people, ensuring comprehensive, coordinated care.
