Job Advertisement: SEN & PSHE Teacher (Hourly Rate: £40) - Immediate Start - Haringey

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN & PSHE Teacher to join our team, providing targeted tuition in the Haringey area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work after school hours, supporting students' personal and social development in a 1:1 or small group setting.

Position Details:

Location: Haringey
Start Date: Immediate start
Hourly Rate: £40 per hour
Work Schedule: After school hours (flexible schedule)
Contract: Part-time, hourly-paid position
Subjects: Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) education, with a focus on SEN students

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored PSHE lessons that engage and support SEN students in a meaningful way.
Adapt lesson plans to meet the specific needs and learning styles of each student.
Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Build positive relationships with students to help them develop key life skills, confidence, and independence.
Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents/carers.

Requirements:

Proven experience working with children with SEN in a teaching or tutoring capacity.
Strong knowledge of PSHE curriculum and experience in adapting it to suit various learning needs.
Ability to manage behaviour and support emotional well-being.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not essential, but teaching experience is a must.
