J3A Recruitment are proud to be supporting a leader within the Water Industry. A Tier 1 Contractor who have been successful throughout AMP 7 with a view to have even more success moving into AMP 8.

Due to a large workload and order book, they are now seeking to employ an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their team and support a range of projects ranging from £3m-£5m.

For the right person, they can find themselves at the forefront of some highly rewarding projects with an opportunity for progression into more senior roles within the business over time.

Role of Commissioning Engineer

* Review tender documentation in terms of design / commission ability and prepare all necessary submission documentation in relation to commissioning / handover on tenders

* Assist in carrying out commissioning review at design stage

* Review mechanical and electrical specifications / drawings / schematics / equipment selections / technical submittals and highlight any potential installation / commissioning issues

* Work with the Production Team and other subject experts to formulate a detailed and timed Commissioning Delivery Plan

Day to day of the Commissioning Engineer

* Work with Project Teams and Thames Water to generate Commissioning Plans during Project Brief/Outline Design stage

* Put in place robust commissioning processes and procedures that reflect the Company and Thames Water requirements and facilitate exceptional commissioning performance

* Work closely with Project Managers to provide technical expertise and deliver all commissioning activities

The ideal Commissioning Engineer will;

* Have previous Commissioning experience within the water industry (mechanical, electrical, ica works)

* Ideally trained to HNC / ONC level but open depending on experience

* Hold SMSTS / SSSTS qualification

* Suitable CSCS card

* Salary up to £57,000
