Position: Head of Accommodation
Location: Hybrid – Manchester office, home-based, and various accommodation sites across Greater Manchester
Salary: £38K to £42.2K per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent (subject to 3-month probation)

Our client is a Manchester-based charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers, due to an internal restructure there is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and compassionate Head of Accommodation to lead and expand their vital housing services.
 
About Our client provides trauma-informed, person-centred support and accommodation to individuals seeking sanctuary in the UK. With over 20 years of experience, they manage a portfolio of properties, including shared houses and housing for those with refugee or asylum-seeker status. They advocate for justice and provide holistic support to help individuals overcome homelessness and destitution.
 
About the Role
As Head of Accommodation, you will play a key role in:

Strategic Development: Increasing their capacity to provide accommodation, including exploring new opportunities and partnerships.
Property Management: Overseeing compliance, maintenance, and financial sustainability of our housing portfolio.
Team Leadership: Managing and developing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Stakeholder Engagement: Building relationships with local authorities, housing associations, and other partners.
Operational Excellence: Ensuring efficient service delivery, meeting KPIs, and maintaining high standards of care and compliance. About You
We’re looking for someone with:

Proven experience in housing management, including property procurement and compliance.
Strong knowledge of housing standards, regulations, and social housing.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
Experience working with marginalised communities, particularly refugees and asylum seekers.
High emotional intelligence, resilience, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
