I'm looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Rugeley.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer are:
Conduct Preventive Maintenance activities and respond to equipment breakdowns to support Operations.
Oversee both reactive and planned maintenance tasks, focusing on reducing plant downtime.
Promote and adhere to safety practices and Target Zero standards, encouraging a culture of continuous safety improvement.
Perform maintenance tasks in collaboration with Operators, planning downtime effectively.
Support the Head of Maintenance by managing contractor activities, controlling permits to work, and ensuring health and safety standards are upheld.
Contribute to stock management by organizing the stores area and liaising with suppliers for spare parts.
Champion Feed Safety and Quality standards, ensuring they are upheld by all team members.Requirements for this Maintenance Engineer are:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Multi-skilled Engineering qualification: City & Guilds Level 3/HNC or relevant equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Experience with planned maintenance systems.
Strong health & safety knowledge and communication skills.
Structured approach to problem-solving and fault-finding.Desirable Skills:
Experience in FMCG, CI, or Lean techniques; ideally within the food industry.
Relevant certifications (IOSH, IPAF, PASMA, forklift, welding/fabrication skills, BOAS, 18th Edition, Confined Space training).Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
07:30 - 16:30Benefits:
£40,000 - £44,200
Overtime rates - 1.5x usual rate
