This initiative promises to deliver a programme of work larger than ever before, driving transformative change and setting global benchmarks in the water industry.

To enhance our clients mechanical engineering capabilities and inject fresh ideas into their processes, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team over the next year.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Mechanical Engineer within a multi-disciplinary project team, you will provide essential mechanical engineering expertise to develop and implement innovative water TOTEX solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and analysis of key mechanical options, ensuring alignment with clients and project stakeholders while mitigating risks and adhering to the Project Basis of Design.
Conduct design calculations to size mechanical, hydraulic, power-generating, and building services equipment.
Collaborate with the supply chain to evaluate and integrate the latest technologies during the optioneering process.
Work with the design team to develop 3D models and engineering solutions.
Oversee deliverables including P&IDs, data sheets, HAZID and HAZOP studies, and provide mechanical input into commissioning plans and proposed performance tests.
Champion health and safety excellence by applying knowledge and skills to produce safe designs in compliance with CDM Regulations.
Identify and promote opportunities that align with project goals in digital innovation, sustainability, and workforce development.
Skills and Experience Required:

To thrive in this role, you will possess:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 8-10 years of extensive practical mechanical design experience in a relevant environment.
A proven track record in designing hydraulic and mechanical systems, alongside a solid understanding of modular build and construction processes.
Broad knowledge of electrical control, instrumentation, and switchgear equipment, enabling you to make informed, value-added decisions in complex situations.
Strong collaborative skills, with an acute awareness of how your work impacts colleagues and clients alike.
A commitment to accountability and integrity, taking personal responsibility while effectively supporting team objectives.
A willingness to explore innovative approaches and new technologies to drive efficiencies in project delivery.
