Our client, based in Chorley, is seeking a Finance Officer to join their close-knit team of three. With exciting growth plans on the horizon, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to step in and play a key role in driving the financial operations forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take accounts to trial balance.
* Manage the purchase and sales ledger functions.
* Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
* Supervise one member of staff
* Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
* Oversee credit control and manage outstanding payments effectively.
* Assist with ad hoc financial tasks to support the business’s growth objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
* Ideally AAT qualified or with equivalent experience.
* Proven ability to handle end-to-end accounts, including trial balance, VAT, and reconciliations.
* Strong experience in purchase and sales ledger management.
* Excellent Excel skills and experience with bespoke accounting systems.
* A proactive, team-oriented individual who is comfortable working within a small, collaborative team.
* Hybrid working model available for the right candidate.
What’s On Offer:
* A salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience.
