Our Client is a leading civil, structural, and transportation engineering consultancy based in London. The Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Technician to join the London team, focusing on rail infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in MicroStation and/or Revit and have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles as they relate to rail systems. This role is critical in supporting our engineering team through detailed design, drafting, and project coordination.

Responsibilities include:

Produce detailed civil and structural drawings using MicroStation and Revit for rail infrastructure projects.
Prepare and update layout plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings.
Ensure all drawings and designs meet the relevant standards, codes, and project specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration of design and construction phases.
Communicate effectively with the project team to identify and resolve design issues.
Implement revisions based on feedback from engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Provide technical support during construction, including interpreting drawings and addressing site queries.

Requirements

Associate degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in civil drafting and design, preferably within the rail sector.
Experience using MicroStation and/or Revit is essential.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and rail design standards.
Familiarity with other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bentley Rail Track) is an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
