Empowering Learning is currently seeking experienced and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join primary schools in Knowsley. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing one-on-one and group support for children with SEND, behavioural needs, and learning difficulties. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a learning environment where every child can thrive, regardless of their challenges. Your expertise and dedication will enable you to foster a positive atmosphere, helping children feel confident and supported in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support for children with SEND and behavioural needs to help them access the curriculum

Work one-to-one with children and in small groups to support their learning and development

Assist the teacher in implementing strategies for classroom management and behaviour support

Develop and adapt learning materials and activities to meet the individual needs of students

Monitor and track student progress, ensuring that children's needs are met and adjusting support accordingly

Build strong relationships with students, teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a collaborative and supportive environment

Essential Requirements:

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Recent experience in UK primary schools, ideally supporting students with SEND and behavioural needs

An understanding of various SEND types and the strategies used to support them

The ability to implement behaviour management strategies effectively and with empathy

A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach, understanding the importance of positive reinforcement

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and provide regular updates to teachers and parents
