Job Advertisement: Welder/Fabricator
Location: Prescot

Are you an experienced Welder/Fabricator with a strong technical background? A fantastic opportunity has opened within a small welding/fabrication team in Knowsley, where you’ll contribute to high-quality fabrication and welding projects, focusing on various types of pipework, steel frameworks, and supports.

Key Responsibilities:

* Fabricate and weld pipework (¾” – 8”), steel frameworks, supports, and channels.

* Perform socket and butt welding, including use of TIG & MMA welding techniques.

* Interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and general arrangements (GAs).

* Travel occasionally to work on-site as needed, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety standards.

Candidate Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in welding and fabrication.

* Skilled in ASME 9 standard work, with hands-on experience in TIG & MMA welding (BSEN ISO 9606-1).

* Proficient with workshop tools, such as drills, grinders, bandsaws, and plasma cutters.

* Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality standards.

Technical Skills:

* Coded and uncoded welding proficiency.

* Strong background in socket and butt welding.

* Knowledge of basic PC tools (Excel, Word) is advantageous.

* A City and Guilds qualification or equivalent in engineering or fabrication.

Commitment & Flexibility:

* Based in Prescot with core hours Monday-Friday, with flexibility for occasional travel/working (away from home)
