Sonographers Medical are looking for a 3D/4D Sonographer who will be able to cover the below dates located in North Wales within a private clinic.
06,07 and 08th September 2024
11,12, and 13th October 2024
30th October - 10th November 2024
They are a non diagnostic place so there is no detailed clinical side to the role, mainly we’re interested in getting really good images, we use a Voluson S8 BT 18, but that being said if the sonographer does notice anything then we do perform a referral to the local hospital but this is done by the receptionist and chaperone (we always have both working at the same time as the sonographer), so they will need to be able to take the basic measurements like length and heart rate etc and put them on the report form for all scans and only add anything else if there is something noticed that might require a referral (ectopic etc..) but again, they only need to note these in the report form, inform the patient and pass the info on and the receptionist/chaperone (chaperone will obviously be in the room at the time too) will do the actual referral.
We do 3 main types of scan (early, gender and bonding) each at different dates/stages through the pregnancy, obviously they will need to give a gender opinion on gender scans and we do not give one if we’re not confident. In any situation like this, we always say its not possible to tell but we invite the customer back for a free rescan in a couple of week so they do not need to feel under any pressure to deliver an opinion. On the bonding scans we’re fairly flexible and if baby is not in a good position ask mum to take a fizzy drink or go for a walk and come back in 30 mins (something like that) but realistically were quite well organised and the chaperone will help sort out and organise the customers (bring them in the room, take them out, deal with coming back after a walk / drink or anything like that) so that leaves the chaperone to focus on doing the scan and uploading the images and report its mainly size measurements etc.. nothing diagnostic.
You will need to be HCPC registered and there are also Air BnB’s near the clinic
