Role: Accounts Assistant
Job Type: Fixed-term contract
Contract Length: 6 months
Expected Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £13-15 per hour

Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant with Credit Control experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the accounting department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and assisting with accounts receivables processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices for Accounts Receivables.
* Raise sales invoices, credit notes, and refunds to clients as required.
* Address queries from both internal and external stakeholders related to accounts receivable.
* Perform accurate and efficient data entry using accounting software.
* Process monthly statements and issue them to clients.
* Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding overdue invoices.
* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
* Support month-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing Debtors reports.
* Manage client relationships regarding payments, ensuring all records and documentation are kept up to date.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
* Provide general administrative support to the finance department.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proficiency in Sage50 accounting software is highly desirable.
* Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
* Familiarity with accounts receivables and credit control processes.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
