Major Recruitment are recruiting Food Production Operatives for our client based in the Halifax area.
Job Description:
We are seeking reliable and hard-working Production Operatives to join our client in a chilled environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the efficient production of animal by-products in a temperature-controlled setting, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This is a hands-on role that involves working as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation: Prepare ingredients according to specifications and production schedules.
Quality Control: Monitor products for quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards.
Packaging: Package finished products, label, and prepare them for shipment or storage.
Cleaning & Sanitizing: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to hygiene and sanitation guidelines, including regular cleaning of work areas, machinery and equipment.
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, to ensure a safe working environment.
Equipment Handling: Safely operate and maintain production machinery and equipment.Skills & Qualifications:
Previous Experience: Experience in food production, manufacturing, or a similar environment is preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift/move products as needed.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy to ensure products meet quality standards.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, to meet production demands.Working Conditions:
Chilled Environment: This role requires working in a temperature-controlled area
PPE Provided: Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be worn at all times.
