Your new role
The key responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Controller are:
* Transactional teams - leading the P2P and Payroll teams
* Month end - variances analysis, profitability and business partnering
* Reporting and Forecasting - improving results through understanding the actuals, forecasts, risks and opportunities
* Statutory Compliance - HMRC reporting
* Line Management - coaching and supporting the teams
* Supporting the implementation of a new ERP system

Please note that the majority of people work Monday to Thursday 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm and Friday 7am - Midday.
Benefits
* Base salary: £36k to £45k
* WFH: Please read narrative below
* 23 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
* Discretionary quarterly bonus
*In order that the successful candidate receives a high quality induction, it is expected that in the first three months attendance on-site will be required daily. Following this period, WFH will be ~ 2 days per week.
Skills and experience to be successful
* Nearly qualified Chartered Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
* Management Accounts experience
* A collaborative approach to Business partnering, adding value and constructive challenge
* Coaching, managing and inspiring others
* A curious mindset striving for excellence
* Self starter
* Willing to take ownership and drive action
The Interview Process
* 60 minute face to face meeting with the FC & CFO
* 60 minute face to face meeting with a key business partner such as The Operations Director
