Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Plumbing Estimator to join a family run business. This is an office-based position with site visits when necessary. You will work Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing multiple detailed Mechanical/Plumbing estimates for residential projects ranging from £5-30 Million

* Hold meetings with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

* Aid with preparing Labour Histograms, draft programs, cash flow forecasts, material schedules and procurement schedules etc

* Collaborating with the Electrical Estimation Team to provide joint bids

* Reviewing Specifications, Schematics and drawings

* Prepare accurate cost estimates and take offs, keeping updated with the price of materials, labour etc

* Negotiate deals with Suppliers and Subcontractors

* Help support the contracts manager, commercial team and supervisors with live projects

Requirements

* Must have experience in the high-rise residential sector, design and build schemes

* Experience using software such as Quickscale and Extreme Estimating preferred but not essential

* Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry standards

* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

* Effective communication and negotiation skills

* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
