My client, an ambitious and exciting mechanical manufacturing business, is looking for a CNC Turner to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

We have an extensive range of capabilities and are looking for a highly skilled and flexible CNC setter-operator to join our team. We have a DMG Wasino G100 lathe that requires someone to set and operate. As well as running this machine, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing manual lapping operations, component deburring/cleaning and general workshop activities. Training on the machine operation, fixture setup and tooling will be provided.

This exciting opportunity will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to be at the forefront of our production expansion and have an impact on a wide range of our production processes. We are continually optimising our operations and as a result will look to change the machine, processes and parts we produce so there are lots of opportunities for learning. The role will be during the day shift which runs Mon-Thu 07:30- 16:00 and Fri 07:30-13:30. There may also be opportunities for overtime paid at a premium.

Responsibilities:

Setting and operating super-high-precision horizontal turning centre, including pre-setting tooling, adjusting offsets, and setting parts in fixtures

Using inspection tooling to verify component conformance

*

Interpreting part drawings and following work instructions

Completing manual lapping operations and component deburring/cleaning Interacting with MRP system

Requirements:

*

We are looking for a skilled CNC setter-operator who has experience with a range of CNC machines and has a willingness to get involved in a range of processes to support production.

3 or more years' experience setting and operating CNC lathes machines with Fanuc controller

*

Great computer literacy

*

Competent using measurement equipment such as verniers, micrometres and bore gauges

*

A positive attitude and strong desire for continuous improvement
