Axon Moore are exclusively partnering a fast-growing, manufacturing organisation based in Accrington as they recruit for a Credit Controller capable of reviewing processes and implementing improvements within the Credit Control function. After a number of acquisitions, the groups current turnover stands at over £100 million, and this looks likely to increase further over the next 12 month period.
This role will be well suited to experienced Credit Controllers who are keen input their ideas in regard to process improvement and are able to collect owed monies quickly and efficiently. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail as well as being able to build long-lasting internal and external relationships.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Chasing overdue invoices and payments in a timely manner
Working closely to resolve customer queries and problematic accounts
Building positive working relations with key accounts
Opening new accounts for customers, performing credit checks and terms reviews
Using initiative to suggest and develop any improvements to current ways of working
Overseeing the continued training of the credit control team
Weekly debtors meeting with team and management
Bank reconciliations
Assisting with the starting of legal proceedings as and when required
Provide ad-hoc accounts admin support
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Credit Controller
Comprehensive knowledge of Credit Control systems and processes
Good IT and MS Excel skills
Working knowledge of Sage 200 (desired)
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within timescales and to deadlines
Efficient and methodical approach to time and task management
