Project Manager
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager with strong analytical skills and experience in water engineering projects to join our team in the South East. We are seeking candidates with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering to lead high-profile projects and a variety of other exciting schemes. Responsibilities
* Manage the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious outcomes.
* Identify and allocate design resources and specialist input across teams and supply chains.
* Ensure technical quality of project deliverables, complying with QA procedures.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage internal design processes and client interfaces.
* Lead projects from conception to handover, driving efficiency and ensuring successful delivery.
* Oversee project budgets, schedules, and cost capture processes.
* Contribute to proposal preparation, including bids for large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Act as a mentor and guide for junior team members, fostering professional growth.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
* Provide innovative solutions to design challenges and facilitate project improvements.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) or equivalent experience.
* Significant experience in managing the technical delivery of infrastructure projects, ideally in the water sector.
* Strong commercial, contractual, and risk management expertise.
* Proficiency with project planning software and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills.
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate and sound health and safety knowledge (preferred).
* A proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach to work.
* Valid UK driving licence (full and clean).
* Must be willing to stay away occasionally.
What This is Offering
* Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience and training).
