Senior Project manager - Permanent role - ASAP start - Kidderminster - £50k - £62k PA (Depending on experience) ***
Our client is a market leader in the smoke and ventilation industry dedicated to enhancing industry standards through innovation and technical advancements.
Due to our clients continued success, they are looking to expand the team in Kidderminster and are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated senior project manager. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your career within the security and communications industry. You would be required to oversee the planning, execution and delivery of our specialist smoke ventilation systems. You will need to have excellent communication skills.
The role involves:
• Management of assigned projects including full ownership and responsibility through to project completion.
• Adoption and full detailed review of the project from the design department, absorbing and taking over technical implementation and continued development of the project (including minor CAD amendments).
• Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Assess project requirements and ensure alignment with client specifications and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with clients, engineers and stakeholders to define project objectives whilst developing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of smoke ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with designs and safety standards.
• Monitor project progress, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to meet milestones, taking into account contractual obligations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Manage cross-functional teams, including site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Provide clear direction and maintain regular communication with all stakeholders.
• Resolve conflicts and ensure effective collaboration among project teams.
• Completing all critical project activities (following Tollgates and ensuring projects are closed properly to ensure full compliance and IFC certification.
• Ensure all projects comply with fire safety and building regulations.
• Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Management of Health & Safety aspects on assigned projects including the assessment and producing of RAMS.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and ensure proper handover upon completion.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, including final budget review and project closing.
• Completing final account agreements and submission of the first part retention release applications.
• Efficiently procure and manage materials, tools, and equipment required for project execution.
• Track expenditures and report on financial performance to stakeholders.
• Ensure all Applications for Payment are made accurately and are submitted in line with the contract terms in a timely manner, to ensure knock- backs and payless notices are kept to an absolute minimum.
• Reporting business critical data to Head of Projects (forecasting revenue, accruals etc).
• Lead and mentor other project managers as and when required, leading by example, and providing guidance on project methodologies, best practices, and performance optimisation.
• Oversee a portfolio of smoke ventilation projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and resource optimisation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and take on larger more complex projects.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to secure future projects.
• Lead post-project reviews and implement lessons learned across all ongoing projects.
• Plan, prioritise, and delegate work tasks.
• Provide feedback to Management.
• Lead and mentor other project managers as and when required, leading by example, and providing guidance on project methodologies, best practices, and performance optimisation.

• Percentage of projects meeting or exceeding profit margin expectations.
• Timely completion and documenting of evidence to substantiate monthly claims and prevent the risk of knock-backs on applications.
• Accuracy of forecasting of future revenue of allocated projects.
• Timely and comprehensive completion of formal project close outs.
Key experience/qualifications:
• Proven experience in project management within smoke ventilation, HVAC, or related industries.
• Leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• communication interpersonal skills, capable of motivating teams and building client relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges.
• Ability to read drawings and plan approach to project to completion.
• Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload under pressure.
Skills and Capabilities:
• Ideally 2 years construction or site experience.
• Proven track record as a Project Manager.
• Located within commuting distance to Kidderminster; role is office based with frequent site visits.
• Full UK Driving License
• May involve working outside regular business hours to meet project deadlines.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm
Salary: £50k-£62k PA (Depending on experience)
