Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our educational team. The School Nurse will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students by providing nursing care, developing care plans, and ensuring a safe environment for all. This position requires strong communication skills, effective leadership, and excellent time management abilities to manage the diverse needs of students.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health conditions.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans for students.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
* Monitor student health trends and report any concerns to appropriate staff members.
* Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
* Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
* Collaborate with teachers and administrators to create a safe and supportive school environment.
* Lead health screenings and immunisation programmes as required.
* Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with valid nursing licence.
* Previous experience in a school or paediatric nursing setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
* Proven ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual student needs.
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing health-related initiatives within the school setting.
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
* A commitment to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of all students.
