Role available: Packhouse Quality Controller (QC)

Main Location: Offenham, Packhouse

Basic nature of role: this company is a private sector medium sized company producing fresh salad and vegetable crops for wholesalers, processors and retailers. We grow, import and pack a wide range of fresh produce. baby leaf, oriental vegetables, chili peppers, courgettes, and tomatoes. Due to continuous growth, we are looking for Quality Control to join our Team working within our BRCGS accredited Packhouse in Offenham.

Are you the right candidate? We are looking for someone who:
• Has good level and understanding of the English language (essential)
• Is a good team player
• Enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment - someone who can learn quickly, and ‘think on their feet’
• Has high level of attention to detail
• (Ideally) has previous experience within a similar role in the food production sector, (however full training will be given to a right candidate)

Id this a job for you? These would be your key responsibilities:

- To carry out Product Quality Intake Checks

- To carry out checks of Packing Lines, including Product, Packaging and Labels

- To carry out Positive Release Assessments

- To assess and monitor stock quality in accordance with customer specifications

- To carry out and record other checks, for Quality Assurance purposes

- To complete relevant documentation

- To offer staff training and internal audit support as required

- To comply with health and safety legislation
