Job Title: Service Controller
Location: Didcot
Hours: 42 hours per week – Variable any 5 from 7
Salary: £41,000 - £43,000
 
WHAT TO EXPECT
A busy environment that will require a practical, motivated and enthusiastic individual to cover duties in the Control Room of a busy Passenger Service Vehicle depot. Operating to the highest standards ensuring that customers get the service they deserve. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Key Responsibilities of the Service Controller / Engineering Controller / Control Room Supervisor:

Supervise the depot run-out / run-in
Ensure correct, safe, legal and efficient operation of the bus services
Deal with outside agencies e.g Local Authorities
Conduct on-bus revenue protection checks and roadside observation duties
Complaint investigations
Coach and support drivers daily
Working knowledge of health and safety with the willingness to obtain the IOSH Qualification
Support the Engineering Team with vehicle queriesWHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience the Service Controller / Engineering Controller / Control Room Supervisor would need

Work flexibly either alone or as part of a team
Experience of staff rostering
Ability to write reports
Be able to organise and motivate in challenging conditions
Must hold a category B manual licence and PCV licence
