We’re now looking to recruit a Senior Customer Account Specialist to join our Customer Accounts Team. This role sits within the direct-to-consumer (D2C) Marketing Department and focuses solely on the AJ Bell product. As a Senior, you will support the Customer Accounts Team Leader and Manager in achieving inflow, retention and account conversion targets, whilst upholding our exceptional customer service standards.

What does the job involve?

* Join a fast-growing team in the direct-to-consumer (D2C) arm of the business.

* This is a customer service based role with a primary focus on:
- Increasing assets under administration (AUA) inflows
- Unfunded account conversions
- Customer retention

* The role has a 'soft sales' element to it, in that you will be responsible for identifying inflow opportunities, fact finding, and offering tailored solutions based on customer needs.

* Building positive relationships with customers

* Manage leads effectively through a CRM and provide ongoing assistance to customers throughout the onboarding journey.

* Play an active role in team meetings and put forward ideas on how to increase our leads pipeline and conversion rates.

* Assist the Team Leader in nurturing / developing the team through leading by example, bridging knowledge gaps and driving the team forwards.

* Work cohesively with the London-based Customer Account Team and their Team Leader

* Increase new funded customers (NFCs) and cross sells via account consolidation, customer referrals and unfunded account conversions.

* Attend and support AJ Bell at marketing events to engage with existing and prospective customers and promote the brand.

* Promote new product features and update customers on product developments.

* Engage and communicate with key internal stakeholders to enable efficient operating processes and a positive customer experience.

* Assist the Team Leader with any other duties

What we’re looking for:

* Existing sales experience within the finance industry is ideal, but not essential.

* At least 5 GCSEs grades A*-C (or equivalent), including Maths & English.

* Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and problem solving skills.

* A polite and professional telephone manner.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

* Target driven and the ability to work under pressure

* A keen interest in investing / financial markets
