Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in assisting residents with their daily living activities and providing compassionate support in a safe and nurturing environment. You will work closely with Registered Nurses and other care staff to ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents are met. This position offers you the chance to develop strong relationships with residents while helping to improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
* Support residents with their mobility and encourage independence where possible.
* Help with administering medication (under the guidance of registered nurses).
* Engage residents in activities to enhance their social interaction and mental stimulation.
* Promote dignity, respect, and well-being for all residents.
* Provide emotional support to residents and their families.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care are provided.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided in line with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
* Experience in a care-related role is preferred but not essential.
* A caring, compassionate approach to providing person-centred care.
* Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from senior staff.
* Good communication skills to build relationships with residents, families, and the care team.
* A willingness to undertake training and development opportunities.
