Sports Coach - Oldham School

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Coach looking to inspire and develop young people? We are seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to join our school in Oldham, helping students to build confidence, teamwork, and a love for physical activity.

Role Overview:

As a Sports Coach, you will deliver engaging PE sessions, support extra-curricular sports activities, and encourage students of all abilities to participate in physical education. You will play a key role in promoting a healthy, active lifestyle while helping students develop key skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Delivering high-quality PE lessons and sports sessions
✅ Supporting students in developing technical skills and confidence in various sports
✅ Leading lunchtime and after-school sports clubs and activities
✅ Encouraging participation and inclusivity in physical education
✅ Supporting students with SEND or additional needs in PE lessons
✅ Assisting in organising school sports events, competitions, and fixtures
✅ Promoting teamwork, fair play, and a positive sporting attitude

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

✔ A qualification in Sports Coaching, PE, or a related field (Level 2 Coaching Badge or higher preferred)
✔ Experience coaching or working with young people in a school or sports setting
✔ A passion for inspiring students and promoting a love for physical activity
✔ Strong communication and motivational skills
✔ Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential)
