Location: Homerton, London
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time, 25 hours per week
Hours: Weekdays, 8:30am - 1:30pm, with flexibility to provide annual leave and sickness cover at short notice up until 8pm on cover days
Pay: £12.00 - £13.00 per hour (Up to £25,500 per annum, pro rata)

About the Practice:
Join a forward-thinking GP Surgery/practice in the vibrant Homerton area. With 5,500 patients and strong PCN integration, this practice offers a supportive environment close to Stratford and the City of London, with excellent local amenities.

Team Dynamics:
Be part of a dedicated team including 2 Managers, 4 GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 HCAs, 3 reception staff, and various ARRS roles.

Role Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of the practice by:

* Performing reception and administrative duties, including scanning, registrations, emails, typing letters, and ERS referrals.

* Assisting doctors with scheduling appointments, calling patients, and handling prescriptions.

* Greeting patients and medical professionals courteously and answering phones efficiently.

* Screening calls, providing general information, and managing practice emails and documentation.

* Handling ERSs and referrals, keeping records of daily activities, and evaluating information to prioritize actions.

Requirements:

* Experience within a GP surgery and familiarity with EMIS Web clinical system is advantageous.

* Ability to work flexible hours and provide cover at short notice when required.
