Harris Hill has an urgent request for an interim Communications Assistant, to support a conservation charity on a 3dpw basis for a month, with potential for extension or even permanent transfer.

This role is a London based charity and will require you to be in the office for those 3 days however, this is a great opportunity for someone to gain valuable charity sector experience. The client is open to students wanting more experience, corporate candidates wanting a sector experience, or just someone looking to fill a gap in their employment.

The main purpose of the role is to get the charity caught up with a backlog, ready for permanent recruitment. This will involve:

Maintaining and updating all content on the website.

Corresponding with grantees to request information for the website (reports, images and text).

Creating new project pages including text, photos (banner and thumbnail), project locations.

Converting reports from MS Word to PDF, checking that formatting is correct and that content is suitable for being uploaded onto the website.

Uploading project updates and final reports to project pages.

Saving all files and correspondence on the server (MS Explorer), website and database.

Ad-hoc drafting of news items for the homepage news section.

Provide administrative support to the team, as required.

Essential knowledge and skills:

Experience of creating, updating and maintaining website content, using Django or similar.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Good customer service.

Excellent communication skills.
