Salary: £52,547 - £55,929 per annum

About the Role:
As our Highways Asset Manager, you will lead a data-driven approach to the development and maintenance of our multi-million-pound annual and long-term plans. Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating and developing asset inventory data, condition data, deterioration modelling, lifecycle plans, whole-life costs, and service levels to meet national standards.
* Developing, monitoring, and reviewing our Asset Management Policies and Strategies.
* Ensuring timely collection and interpretation of data to influence decision-making and support a proactive performance management culture.
* Managing the long-term planning of the authority’s highways assets and ensuring compliance with our Highway Asset Management Framework, Strategy, Policy, and Plan.
In this role, you will also oversee budget allocation, monitoring, and reporting for planned maintenance of highway assets. You will work closely with contractors to identify opportunities for quality improvements, resulting in reduced costs and increased efficiencies.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Extensive experience within the Highways and Transport sector.
* Developed knowledge and understanding of Asset Management software, industry codes of practice, processes, and procedures.
* Strong commercial acumen and the ability to integrate principles of whole-life asset planning.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, elected members, contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Proven technical experience in a highway or civil engineering-related field.
* Evidence of continuous professional development and industry-related knowledge in the highway environment.
