Swift Placements are supporting our client based in Birkenhead recruit an Assistant Practice Manager to join them on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a law firm and have exposure to all aspects of HR, Facilities and Payroll.
Responsibilities
* Managing day to day operations of the Practice reporting to the Partners.
* Handling all aspects of HR including recruitment, onboarding, training, appraisals, payroll.
* Financial month end and bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
* Managing facilities such as office maintenance, IT/systems usage.
* Reviewing policies and procedures in line with new legislations and accreditations.
* Reviewing client satisfaction questionnaires to identify any trends/areas for improvement.
* Undertaking file reviews to identify weaknesses and training issues.
* Marketing and negotiating to achieve savings
* Updating and adding forms and precedents for the firms case management system.
* Fee earner and cost reviews.
* Renewal of accreditations and Practising Certificates.
* Assisting with firm audits.
Experience and Knowledge
* Previous experience managing teams and operations.
* Previous experience within the legal sector is preferred.
* Strong financial knowledge.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages.
* Proactive and good organisational skills.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
