The role – SEN Teaching Assistant

I am working with a SEN school based in Southwark that are looking for a new SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team! In this role you will be working with 11 – 19-year-old students across the school and you must be an approachable, confident and nurturing person with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you must have experience working with Special Educational Needs, in this role you will be working with Autism, severe learning difficulties and complex needs. You will be required to work closely in the class with the students and will be working under the direction of the class teacher. To be considered for this role you must be immediately available for a long – term full – time role and have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

This SEN school is base in Southwark and caters for a range of SEN students aged 11- 19 years old, they are committed to continual improvement, high quality education, within an open and welcoming environment. The range of disabilities requires the contribution of a multidisciplinary team with physiotherapists, occupational therapist, speech and language therapists and special school support assistants, all working co-cooperatively with the teaching staff to meet the individual needs of the students.
