Job description - the role

AMS is the world's leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources. We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior BIM Technician for a 1/2 month contract based in London

Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience

The Role:

For allocated projects, the role will include:

Working with the Project Manager, BIM Lead and discipline engineers to define deliverables schedules, and implementing these within the model
Supporting the project team with technical delivery using Revit and other BIM related software
Modelling of a range of MEP services, including but not limited to mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment and drainage.
Co-ordination of services using Revit and Navisworks
Drawing production of modelled elements through Revit
Use of collaboration workflow platforms including ACC/BIM360 etc.Requirements and skills:

Qualifications:

BTEC ONC / NC in Building Services Engineering or higherEssential Skills and Knowledge

Experience within the building services industry (consultancy or contractor)
Strong communicational skills
Experience of ACC/BIM360 collaboration tools
Excellent understanding of model and drawing production using Revit MEP
Very experienced in model set up
An in depth understanding of industry standards in particular BS EN ISO 19650
Experienced in providing technical support for Revit MEP
Experience of using Navisworks/Solibri to conduct reviews, visual audits
Experienced in preparation of drawings and models with little to no input from engineers, using own experience to develop output from sketches provided by engineers
Knowledge of MEP systems and how services should be routed and coordinated to a design level of detail
Ability to communicate technical issues to co-professionals, contractors and clients.
Proven success of working in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to work on multiple projects. About the client
