Role: Children's Support Worker

Location: Liverpool and surrounding areas

Pay: £15 - £20ph

Hours:

Waking watch night shifts - 8pm to 8am

About the role

These roles will be working with children and young people with a range of different challenges. This can include emotional behavioural issues, mental health issues or learning difficulties. You will be required to have at least 1 year of UK experience working in a similar role. These positions are on a 2:1 + basis.

Duties include:

Carry out essential regular checks on young people in their placements
Follow procedures including reporting incidents and/or absconding to out of hours teams and emergency services.
You will be required to ensure that our children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care and to assist them reaching their full potential.
To ensure children's safety and well-being is appropriately protected at all times.
To promote education, independent living and maintain a healthy home environment.
To provide detailed written notes for each shift.
To professionally liaise with professionals.
Uphold essential safeguarding.
To effectively communicate with the service user and professionals

The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:

Challenging & aggressive behaviour
Learning disability
Autistic Spectrum Condition
ADHD
Personality Disorder
Self-Injury
Mental health diagnosis
Victims of the range of abuses
Inappropriate behaviours

Criteria for these roles are:

Child and Adult DBS - on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Previous Experience in a similar role (1 year UK experience).
References covering the last 3 years
