An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant to join a very successful firm in the legal sector. Based at their offices on the outskirts of Swadlincote, this role offers the successful candidate a forward step in their career with a forward-thinking business on a permanent basis.
You will have the opportunity to work within a busy Commercial Property department, however experience within this is discipline is not essential.
To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
Current or recent experience of working within the legal sector as a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant / Conveyancing Assistant
Ability to work in a busy pressured environment whilst naturally prioritising tasks
Confidence in writing and drafting letter and copy typing
The successful candidate will have had experience within the legal sector in an administrative capacity, used to supporting fee earners in a busy practice.
Within this position, you’ll also be:
Handling new enquiries and create new files including setting up client details on case management systems
Preparing standard and non-standard correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing
Preparing contract packs, Land registry aplications and SDLT returns
Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files
Liaise with clients, contacts by telephone and in writing
Salary & Working Hours
Salary is £24,000 – £28,000 per annum
Working hours are either full time or part time within their office hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
