Tenancy Sustainment Officer - Housing

£31,742 per annum

Macclesfield

Permanent, Full-Time - 37 hours per week

Peaks & Plains Housing Trust has a portfolio of approximately 5000 homes in Macclesfield and the surrounding areas. We are passionate about what we do in providing high quality homes and investing in our communities to improve people's lives.

We are looking for a highly customer focused individual with experience of working with vulnerable customers, particularly where you have had to influence changes in their behaviour.

You will specialise in one of the following areas: hoarding and property condition, supporting customers facing legal action, or providing money advice. Your work will centre on understanding and addressing the unique circumstances and challenges faced by each customer, ultimately promoting stability in their tenancies

A key focus of the role will be to advise and assist our ‘at risk’ and other vulnerable customers to ensure they can access appropriate financial support to sustain their tenancy and live independently. You will support tenants to build their financial capability, promote awareness of their responsibility to pay rent, prevent arrears accruing and manage their tenancy, to reduce the likelihood of tenancy breaches and prevent the likelihood of homelessness.

We take pride in our properties and care about our tenants. You will have the ability to assess customer needs and support yet also be assertive to be able to balance this against ensuring minimal property disrepair and tenancy issues. It’s important for us to prevent homelessness and you will work to ensure customers receive the help and support they need.

You will also manage referrals of safeguarding from across the Group, undertaking triage / assessments, taking appropriate safeguarding action including maintaining and updating detailed records on CRM.

We can offer you:

*

A minimum of 28 days holiday per year (plus birthday leave and bank holidays).

*

Agile Working - flexible working hours with the opportunity for regular home working

*

Attractive Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with Employer’s contributions up to 12%

*

Ongoing Training and development.

*

A focus on your health and wellbeing including access to our Health Cash Plan offering a variety of benefits and discounts.

*

A state of the art modern office with a friendly working environment

Our Values are at the core of everything we do, so we are looking for someone whose values agree with ours and will embed these too!
