Overview: Tiro Partners are looking for Software Engineers, to help prototype future cockpit and avionics designs, develop the Project X Active Cockpit simulator, and work closely with engineers from Project X.

Duration: 12 months (OUTSIDE IR35)

Responsibilities:

Develop software for the Project X Active Cockpit simulator
Own requirements, design, implementation, and testing
Integrate COTS hardware/software and design technical solutions
Produce technical documentation and manage technical risk
Support customers and resolve system issues
Mentor team members and refine development processes
Develop system architectures to meet IT/security requirementsEssential Skills:

Strong C++ programming in Visual Studio
Experience with Mercurial and configuration control tools
Proactive, creative thinker with strong initiative
Security Clearance requiredDesirable Skills:

Experience in task leading and QMS documentation
Mentoring and team management experience
Knowledge of Linux, avionics, and mission systems
Familiarity with Jira and simulation interoperability standards (HLA/DIS/Link16)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Interest in military aircraft
