Job Title: Chef / Housekeeper

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chef/Housekeeper to join our team in Ruislip. This dual role involves preparing nutritious breakfasts and maintaining a clean and safe environment in our care home. The ideal candidate will be attentive, organized, and sensitive to the needs of our elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Chef Duties (8 AM – 11 AM):
Prepare and serve breakfast, including cereals, toast, and hot drinks.
Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Housekeeping Duties (11 AM – 4 PM):
Perform daily cleaning tasks, including hoovering, dusting, and sanitizing all areas, including bathrooms.
Conduct deep cleaning as needed to maintain high standards of hygiene.
Assist with any necessary support related to cleaning up after residents, including managing urine, feces, and other bodily fluids in a compassionate and professional manner. Additional Responsibilities:
Some shifts may require full-day chef work (11 AM – 7 PM) or extended housekeeping shifts (8 AM – 4 PM).
Collaborate with care staff to ensure a comfortable living environment for residents.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic workplace. Qualifications:
Previous experience as a chef and/or housekeeper, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
