You'd be joining a team on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern (days & nights). This role is predominantly mechanically biased and you'll will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on production machinery.

Work on conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other mechanical systems.

Strip down and rebuild manufacturing machinery, ensuring efficient operation.

Perform welding and fabrication (advantageous but not essential).

Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Work at heights and navigate stairs as part of daily duties.

Collaborate with the team to identify and implement improvements to mechanical processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Proven experience in fault finding, repairing, stripping, and rebuilding manufacturing machinery.

Strong knowledge of conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Welding and fabrication skills would be a bonus.

Previous experience in FMCG manufacturing is beneficial but not essential.

A proactive attitude with the ability to learn, adapt, and progress in a fast-paced environment.

Physically capable of working at heights and climbing stairs when required.
