Passive Safety Engineer - 0847 - £30.78/hr PAYE

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is seeking a collaborative and experienced Passive Safety Engineer to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This is a 12-month contract role based in Cranfield, and it comes with a favourable PAYE contract rate of £30.78 per hour (Inside IR35).

As a Passive Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for automotive crash passive safety performance. Performance planning, test planning and analysis of CAE and physical test results. You will also liaise between local and global other related departments at all stages of the vehicle development process.

In your first few weeks in this Passive Safety Engineer role, you can expect to:

Confirm if design meets crash performance requirement and provide feedback to design teams
Make test requests and support to conduct the tests
Analyse CAE and test results and create reports
Create minutes of the meeting
Develop process improvement tools
To apply for this Passive Safety Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:

Experience in Automotive Passive Safety testing or restraint system development
Knowledge of body engineering or electrical architecture and systems, such as eCall, ACU
Understanding of vehicle passive safety design concepts
Experience interpreting, executing and analysing a variety of Regulation and consumer-based passive safety crash tests
