Town Planning Roles - Graduate to Senior Planner Levels
Location: Newcastle

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a major UK-based multidisciplinary engineering consultancy our team and seeking talented Graduate Planners, Planners, and Senior Planners to join a leading UK planning consultancy. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile development projects across a variety of sectors, including urban regeneration, infrastructure, and renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborating with clients to understand their planning needs and guiding them through the planning process
Preparing and submitting planning applications, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations
Managing a diverse range of planning projects in areas such as marine, environmental, infrastructure, and renewable energy
Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities to promote and advocate for development projects
Supporting and managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
Staying up-to-date with planning legislation, policy changes, and best practicesWhat We're Looking For:

Graduate Planner: A degree (or equivalent) in Planning or a related field. A keen interest in urban development and planning.
Planner: 1-3 years of experience in town planning or a planning consultancy. Experience with EIA projects is a plus.
Senior Planner: 3+ years of experience in planning consultancy, project management, and EIA. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, local authorities, and teams
A proactive approach to problem-solving and project management
